Some days are just not meant to be serious. You know, the days when the windmill obstacle spins at the time. You spend a lot of time arguing about whether a bank shot off the side wall is okay to do. For the record it is okay. That is what makes Mini Putt Putt much fun. The real problem is not the loop-de-loop on the course. It is finding a place that’s open looks nice and is worth going to. Searching online is not very good for this. The information you find is often old the courses close down or move and sometimes the address is for a different business. If you do a research you can avoid being disappointed.
Google Maps is the tool to use. Search for ” golf near me” to get better results than if you use other words. When you get your list do not look at the star ratings first look at the pictures instead. A maintained course looks nice. The paint is fresh the obstacles are intact the turf is clean and everything works. A course that is not maintained looks bad too. You can tell by looking at the pictures.
Once you have an options read the reviews. The star rating gives you an idea but the written comments tell you what is really going on. Look for problems that people talk about a lot. Like waiting a time broken equipment or staff who do not care. If you see the problems in many reviews it is probably true. A course with a rating but nice comments is often better than a course with a high rating but not much to say about it.
Weekends are the time. There are birthday parties, families and people just walking in. Some people like that energy but if you want to relax it is better to go on a weekday evening. It is quieter rushed and more fun when you can focus.
