About Us

The Lower Columbia Human Resources Management Association is a chapter of the Society of Human Resource Management. We are comprised of HR professionals located throughout the Lower Columbia region in northwest Oregon and southwest Washington.

LCHRMA's mission is to engage the human resource community by providing networking and relationship building opportunities, professional development, and other resources that enhance HR professionals' contributions to the workplace and the local community.

Association meetings are currently held the first Wednesday of the month from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Guests are welcome. Please see Calendar of Events.

Partnership with ASTD

Lower Columbia Human Resources Management Association has partnered with the Cascadia Chapter of the American Society for Training and Development (ASTD) in order to expand training opportunities for LCHRMA members. This affiliation allows LCHRMA members to attend ASTD-Cascadia events at their reduced member prices. 
 
ASTD -Cascadia has been supporting workplace learning and performance professionals (WLP) in Oregon and SW Washington since 1947. ASTD-Cascadia takes pride in providing cutting edge programs and services to support those in the field, whether they are new or seasoned professionals. As one of the largest ASTD Chapters in the nation, ASTD-Cascadia provides opportunities for workplace learning professionals to learn, connect and grow.

ASTD-Cascadia offers 3+ hour quarterly learning events, special interest groups, geographic interest groups, 2-day series in cooperation with Portland State University, a 2-day regional conference in Salem in mid-October, and quarterly Learning Leader Forums.
